Sadelle’s combines the traditional New York Jewish cuisine with the fashion-forward air of SoHo. This casual bakery and deli is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. While the eatery is busy and bustling in the daytime with blue and turqoise-colored tea sets adorning the tables, candlelight and crystal chandeliers lend the space a romantic air after dark.

The lunch menu centers on house-made bagels. However, this is not your grandmother’s bagel house. Toppings include six different types of smoked fish, eggs and/or caviar. Be sure to try the salmon or lobster benedict! An intriguing collection of fresh salads, including the Freddy (shrimp, hearts of palm, avocado, scallions and radishes) complete the menu. Do yourself a favor and order a sampling of each—the smoked fish comes on tiered trays so everyone can try them out.

For dinner, there is a small, but delicious, assortment of entrees, including Scottish salmon in mustard sauce and Paprika chicken—both of which are highly recommended.

Sadelle’s ‘everything bagel’ was rated as one of the city’s best dishes by Bloomberg.com in 2015 and we can personally attest that this is true.
