Momo, located in the Soho area of London, has been serving delicious and innovative cuisine from North Africa since 1997. The brainchild of Algerian native Mourad Mazouz, Momo combines the tastes of Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and beyond—with classic Parisian fare. The elegant and exotic dining room evokes a North African casbah, with inlaid tables, filigreed window coverings, and Oriental rugs. Momo is open for lunch and dinner daily as well as for afternoon tea in the restaurant’s terrace and cafe. There’s even a pre-theater menu, perfect for the area. Dinner highlights include chicken couscous, lamb tagine (a Moroccan dish made with carrots, onions and a variety of spices), and beef tangia, which is beef cubes slow cooked with vegetables in a clay pot. Menu prices begin at £14.

The Soho neighborhood, located just north of Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus, contains some of London’s premier theaters plus a diverse collection of ethnic eateries and boutiques.

Reservations are strongly advised at Momo.
