Master mixologist Shuzo Nagumo sets the bar high with distinctive concoctions only found at the Mixology Experience. Examples include blue cheese cognac and wasabi vodka, priced between ¥2,001 and ¥4,000. The presentation is as outlandish and memorable as the flavors. These unique drinks attract both locals and tourists, all of whom share a spirit of adventure and are intrigued by the Mixology Experience’s promise of “dinner in a drink.”
Nagumo’s secret? An extensive culinary background and a suite of high-tech tools. For example, his rotary evaporator effectively removes cloudiness and pulp from liquids, making them clearer and more visually appealing. His goal is to “cook cocktails” so as to create a meal-like drinking experience. Regulars certainly appreciate this ingenuity and attention to detail. Keep in mind: in addition to the cost of drinks, Mixology Experience requires visitors to pay an entrance fee.
