Describe the best meal you’ve ever had and with whom: I love sushi and the last best meal that comes to mind was my first time at Sugarfish in LA. I went with a group of friends and we were the first in line. The fish is so fresh and comes with a story, it’s served over warm rice so it all kind of melts in your mouth. I also loved it because the restaurant takes the reins for you—there’s no thinking, just perfection on your plate. [Learn more about the ‘trust me’ ordering of Sugarfish]

Describe the best party you’ve ever been to and why: It’s weird, as I get older the way I “party” drastically changes. Since graduating college my favorite parties haven’t really been parties per se, but more times when a group of friends and I all come together and make our own “party.” This usually means eating lots of good food, drinking yummy drinks, listening to our favorite music, talking and laughing, while simply soaking up the warmth of being together.

What’s your dream job? If I wasn’t working the job I have now, I would want to work with animals in some capacity.
Do you have any career ‘mistakes’ you can tell us about and what the upside was? I think a career mistake I made (and still sometimes struggle with) is getting hung up on exactly what I want my career to look like. What things look like in your head don’t always transfer to paper, and visa versa. What I am learning is, many jobs can be molded to fit your own ideals if you work hard within given parameters. [This is so true!]
What was your first job and what do you think it taught you? I took my very first “real job” (meaning not babysitting!) when I was 16 at a tiny Italian restaurant a few blocks from my high school as a hostess. It taught me that I don’t want to be a hostess! But seriously, it also taught me how to communicate with many types of people and how to be flexible and adaptable at a young age.
If you could teach anything to someone, what would it be? Work hard, read as much as you can, think before you speak.
