What is your favorite place in the world you’ve traveled to and why? My wife and I went to Burma/Myanmar about two years ago. It was an adventure all the time. It felt like three days of life crammed into each day there were so many amazing people we met, so many beautiful things we saw and so many cool things we did – a five-hour ride on an outrigger boat to a distant temple that rose out of a lake, sunrises over ancient pagodas, a fresh fish dinner sitting on the front porch of a new friend’s hut on the Irrawaddy, a tour of an old, wooden monastery at sunset, watching hot air balloons launch before dawn, learning to cook mohinga, a Burmese soup, in a man’s front yard. It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. [Here’s the Myanmar roundup: an incredible hotel, a can’t-miss park with a gorgeous backdrop, and fine dining on Lake Inya]

You have a few weeks off and enough miles for round trip airfare. What kind of trip do you plan and to where? I love Italy. It’s the country I’ve visited most. I studied and worked there in college; and I’ve been back countless times. It’s amazing for all the reasons they say it is – the food is phenomenal; the people are spirited; and the history and art are unparalleled. [We put together 5 of our favorite hotels in Italy: Florence, Capri, Puglia, Rome, and the Adriatic Coast

What’s your preferred method of travel? I don’t get to do it enough, but I love to drive. Mostly because I get to listen to lots of music in the car.

Fill in the blank: On vacation you will undoubtedly find me _____: Taking a nap.

What is your favorite restaurant to eat at? Rucola in Brooklyn is the best. [We agree! Find out more here]

Finish this sentence: ‘If I was a type of food I would be ______’ ice cream. [Mmm! We suggest trying this recipe for chocolate basil mint ice pops!]

What city has the best nightlife culture and why? I am very, very biased, but it’s definitely New York for me. When it happens right in New York, it’s better than anywhere else – all the different walks of life coming together and getting down is amazing. [Biased is right! Justin throws and DJs two of New York’s best parties!]

What’s the best night of the week to go out on in your current city? Sunday!

What has been your best career move so far? Partnering up with Eamon Harkin.

Can you share one tip for anyone looking to get into a similar career as you? Being involved in music is a real job, not something you do because you don’t want to work a real job. You’ve got to take it very seriously. [Amen to that!]

Share one invaluable business skill you have: I think I have a knack for understanding what people want.

Tell me about the person who most influenced you growing up: My dad filled our home with music. He played all kinds of records, and he played the guitar at least a couple hours a day.

    Very happily married

Tell me about a cringe-worthy date: I once took a woman out, and by the end of the night, she was dancing with another guy. Bummer.
