CHISWICK is a chic restaurant in Sydney that’s co-owned by celebrity chef Matt Moran and famed restaurateur Peter Sullivan. With two locations and a packed house every night, this eatery is definitely a bona fide institution in Sydney. It’s incredibly popular with locals and travelers alike, and it caters to customers who want delicious food without any extra fuss. The flagship restaurant can be found in Woollahra, while their second spot is at the Art Gallery of NSW, right in the city center. The décor of both eateries is light and airy, but the Woollahra location offers outdoor seating next to the garden, which is possibly the most picturesque place in town to eat. And despite being one of the most well-loved restaurants in Sydney, CHISWICK is always laid-back and never pretentious. The food is as fresh as can be, with many ingredients plucked straight from their vegetable garden in Woollahra. The menu changes seasonally, and head chef Richie Dolan and his culinary crew strive to ensure that each dish is simultaneously healthy and satisfying. Steak tartare with crisp quinoa and quail egg, spanner crab linguine with sugar snaps and chili, and cured duck breast with persimmon and kombu walnuts are just a few of the scrumptious dishes previously featured on CHISWICK’s menu. Each menu item will cost between $5-$60 USD, but many of the pricier options are meant for sharing.
