Not far from our choice hotel in Hong Kong is one of the best meals you can get when in town. For a premium beef feast, foodies are drawn to 298 Nikuya Room, an upmarket Japanese yakiniku BBQ restaurant in Central. ‘Yakiniku’ means ‘grilled meat’ in Japanese—meaning guests cook their own food on a small grill in the center of the table. The modern, cow-themed interior boasts spacious banquettes. Diners can either order from the à la carte menu, with selections such as A5 beef platter, barbecue ox tongue, and prime kaibi, or taste the restaurant’s specialties with the omakase menu, selected by the chef.
